INTERAC Construction Accounting System is a construction-focused accounting and ERP suite from Intersoft Systems, Inc. It is designed for contractors that need accounting, job costing, billing and operational controls in one system. The platform covers accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, payroll, equipment, inventory, purchasing, document management and reporting. Job Cost organizes labor, materials, subcontractors, equipment and overhead by job, phase and category, while manager applications provide summary and drill-down views. Deployments span cloud, self-hosted and desktop environments, with web and Windows access plus field data capture.
Its strongest capability is the way construction-specific work connects to accounting. AIA, time-and-material, contract and free-form billing support different contract structures, while construction payroll handles certified payroll and union deductions. Equipment Manager tracks equipment costs, and employees can submit time, equipment and materials from the field. Remote Time Clock plans add mobile punch-in and punch-out, geotracking, geofencing, and links to payroll and job cost. The system also supports integrated document management, approval routing, Job Manager reporting, and connections to payroll, accounts payable, general ledger, scale systems and specialty estimating software.
The published plan structure offers All Inclusive monthly and annual options with all 11 core modules, priority 24x7 support and unlimited feature access. Separate Remote Time Clock monthly and annual options focus on mobile attendance and field controls. Integrations use ODBC import/export, automated Job Stream integration, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Access and other accounting systems, which will suit organizations with established desktop workflows. Contractors seeking a broad, long-running suite with detailed job and payroll controls should consider INTERAC. Teams wanting a narrowly focused cloud tool, a free entry tier or a more contemporary integration model may prefer an alternative.
