INSOMNIAC CIA review
Remote access tools for storage operators, not a full facility-management system.

INSOMNIAC CIA is a cloud-based access-control system for self-storage owners and operators who need to manage entry across one facility or a multi-site portfolio. Its Control Center supports tenant and visitor permissions, access-point management, activity review and remote oversight. Tenants can use the Storage Genie app for touchless entry, while managers can handle access-control tasks in Manager Genie. This is a specialized access tool, not a complete rental or facility-management system.
Access hardware and connected services are central to its fit. CIA integrates with gate keypads, including some existing hardware, and compatible IoE devices and third-party technology. Listed integrations include OpenTech IoE devices, Self Storage Manager, Honeywell thermostats, Alexa, DaVinci Locks, and PTI Apex or VP keypads. Real-time activity views and remote event monitoring help operators follow access activity, and the system supports remote facility lockdown. Buyers should confirm that their existing equipment is compatible before choosing it.
The vendor sells CIA through a custom-quote process and requires enrollment in one of its service programs for the cloud system to operate. It is available through web, iOS, Android and API, with cloud and mobile deployment. Support channels include email, phone and ticket; support is not listed as 24/7. CIA may suit operators prioritizing remote credentials, mobile entry, access monitoring and multi-site control. Facilities seeking online rentals, automated billing or delinquency workflows should choose a broader management system or pair CIA with other software for those operations.
