Infrarust is a Rust-based reverse proxy for Minecraft Java Edition, designed for administrators operating networks with multiple backend servers. It can route players by domain or wildcard, allowing several servers to share one public address and port. Its modes include passthrough, zero-copy, client-only, offline, and server-only proxy operation, with server switching between connected backends and Mojang authentication at the proxy.

The software is open source, distributed under AGPL-3.0 with a plugin exception, and has a free plan. It is intended for Linux and self-hosted deployment rather than a hosted service. Docker support includes a provider and container deployment, while integrations cover Pterodactyl, Crafty, OpenTelemetry, HAProxy, Velocity, BungeeCord, and BungeeGuard. Compatibility includes Velocity, BungeeCord, and BungeeGuard. Forwarding modes support Minecraft versions 1.7 and later, while intercepted modes cover versions 1.7.2 through 1.21.11.

Its strongest distinction is breadth for network administration: plugins can handle authentication, queues, and server wake-on-connect; an optional REST API and web dashboard support administration; and OpenTelemetry metrics and distributed tracing add observability. Rate limiting, bans, IP filtering, and proxy protocol support extend its operational controls. Choose Infrarust if you want a configurable, self-hosted proxy with multiple routing modes and integrations. A hosted or managed option, or a narrower tool with less administrative scope, may suit teams that do not want to operate proxy infrastructure. The current documentation identifies version 2.0.0-beta.2, so capabilities and version support may change before a stable release.
