Infor LN review
Detailed manufacturing costing and financial control for complex discrete operations.

Infor LN is a cloud enterprise resource planning system for discrete manufacturers managing make-to-stock, make-to-order, engineer-to-order, configure-to-order, or assemble-to-order operations. It combines manufacturing, financials, sales, purchasing, logistics, and service capabilities for organizations with multisite or multicompany structures. The accounting foundation includes general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, cost accounting, and financial statements, while multicurrency transactions and reporting support multiple functional or home currencies.
Manufacturing cost control is the central strength. Production-order costing covers estimated costs, actual costs, and production results, while work-in-process tracking supports transfers between work centers. Inventory can be valued using standard cost, moving-average unit cost, FIFO, LIFO, lot price, or serial price methods. These capabilities make LN a strong fit for manufacturers that need accounting to follow production activity in detail, rather than treating inventory and manufacturing as separate processes.
The platform also has a broad integration and access layer. Public REST APIs support machine integrations, and tools cover Microsoft Word, Excel, Exchange, Infor OS API Gateway, Infor ION, event publishing, synchronization, and other LN environments. Mobile applications for iOS and Android allow users to access and modify LN data. Pricing uses a contact-sales model. Choose LN when production-order costing, WIP accounting, multiple valuation methods, multicurrency support, and connected enterprise operations are priorities; simpler businesses may find its discrete-manufacturing scope broader than needed.
