IncidentRelay review
Flexible routing and escalation for teams that want to run on-call operations in-house.

IncidentRelay is a self-hosted on-call scheduling, alert routing, escalation and incident response platform from Roxy-WI. It is designed for SRE, DevOps, infrastructure and operations teams that need to receive monitoring alerts, determine on-call ownership and notify the right people across multiple channels. Its scheduling model includes layered rotations, restrictions, overrides, historical schedules and shift handoff times. Teams can also acknowledge, resolve, silence and shelve alerts while retaining incident context.
The product fits teams with a varied monitoring and communications environment. It integrates with Prometheus Alertmanager, AWS SNS and CloudWatch, Grafana Alerting, Zabbix, Sentry, LibreNMS, RMON and generic webhooks. Notifications can reach chat, email, webhooks, voice providers and browser push, with Slack, Mattermost and Telegram among the listed channels. CalDAV and ICS feeds connect on-call calendars to external calendar clients. OpenAPI endpoints and Terraform-based automation support programmatic administration and infrastructure workflows.
Deployment is a central consideration: IncidentRelay runs in the customer’s infrastructure through Docker Compose, Kubernetes, RPM packages or systemd. That gives infrastructure teams control over deployment and routing, but also places operational responsibility with the customer. The published project description positions it as open-source, while the repository is described as source-available under the Elastic License 2.0. IncidentRelay is a strong fit for organizations that want detailed, automatable on-call logic without moving scheduling and alert handling outside their environment. Teams seeking a managed service, mobile-first workflow or built-in AI features should choose an alternative.
