iFLYTEK Text-to-Speech is a cloud speech-synthesis service for developers and organizations building voice navigation, audible-reading, telephone follow-up, education, and broadcasting applications. It converts text into audio through an online API and combines 14-language support with Chinese dialect speech synthesis. Voice controls include adjustable timbre, volume, and speed, while custom Mandarin voice-model training adds a path for organizations that need a more tailored voice. The service is primarily suited to teams integrating speech into an application rather than individual users seeking a standalone reading tool.

Its strongest technical fit is the combination of streaming delivery and audio-format choice. The Streaming WebSocket API is designed for continuous synthesis workflows, and the service provides PCM, MP3, Speex, and Speex-WB output. Voice navigation and audible-reading use cases are explicitly supported, making the product relevant where responsive playback and Chinese-language coverage matter. API access also gives developers a direct integration route, though the listed platform coverage is limited to web and API environments.

The published package structure is usage-oriented. The New User Package includes 100,000 service calls and five concurrent channels. VPC provides iFLYTEK resources in a customer's own VPC with 50 concurrent channels. Business Packages A, B, and C provide 1,000,000, 5,000,000, and 10,000,000 service calls respectively, each with 50 concurrent channels. There is no permanent free plan, so the product is better suited to organizations with defined production requirements than casual experimentation. Choose it for Chinese voice applications needing dialect coverage, custom Mandarin voices, or streaming API access; consider an alternative if broad platform integrations or a no-cost ongoing tier are priorities.
