iDroo review
A shared teaching canvas with courses, assignments, grading, and live lessons.

iDroo pairs a browser-based collaborative whiteboard with teaching and course-management tools. Teachers, tutors, and families can use shared boards for live explanations, diagrams, equations, and document annotation, while courses, assignments, submissions, comments, and grading support work beyond the board. Live group lessons add teacher-led sessions and private student workspaces. The fit is strongest for educators who want instruction and student work in one environment, rather than teams seeking a general-purpose whiteboard alone.
The canvas supports drawing, shapes, connectors, sticky notes, text, and pan-and-zoom navigation. An equation editor and graphing tools address math and science notation, and uploaded documents and images can be annotated. Boards can be shared for real-time collaboration through links or QR codes, with permissions. Presentation Mode, presenter tools, audio/video calls, and screen sharing round out the teaching workflow. The AI Tutor offers hints, explanations, step checks, and practice. Together, these features give iDroo a broader classroom focus than a canvas built mainly for brainstorming.
The free plan provides a starting point; paid plans add capacity and teaching controls. According to the vendor's pricing page, Study costs €5 per user per month, billed annually, for 20 boards, 200 MB storage, and 10 hours of live collaboration weekly. Standard is €9 per paid user monthly, billed annually, with 50 boards, 1 GB, 50 weekly collaboration hours, presenter tools, team management, and guest participants. Premium at €25 adds 1,000 boards, 5 GB, 100 weekly hours, and participant uploads; Ultimate at €149 adds 10,000 boards, 30 GB, and priority support. iDroo is web-only, so educators who need a desktop or mobile app should look elsewhere. Its annual per-user plans suit structured teaching needs, but may be more than needed for occasional collaborative sketching.
