iBase DAM is a configurable digital asset management platform for museums, galleries, archives, universities, local authorities, libraries and commercial image organisations. It manages images, documents, video, audio, interactive media, spreadsheets and PDFs with structured metadata, taxonomies, search, permissions, workflow states, versioning and controlled sharing. Cultural and commercial collections teams should consider it when their assets need more structure than a basic file library can provide.

Pricing spans cloud storage tiers and an on-premises licence. The iBase Cloud plan costs $340 per month and includes managed cloud hosting, support and training, with storage that scales as requirements grow. The iBase Cloud — 100 GB plan costs £275 per month for smaller libraries and internal DAM systems, while the 1 TB plan costs £395 per month for growing image libraries. The 10 TB plan costs £995 per month for large image and video repositories. iBase On-Premises costs $7,850 one time and includes installation, setup and a perpetual licence. A 30-day free trial is available, and prices exclude VAT where applicable.

Its breadth is a central strength. Assets can be uploaded through a browser, drag and drop or a hot folder, then organised with metadata schemas, hierarchical taxonomies, geolocation, saved searches, collections, exhibitions and lightboxes. Review, approval and publishing workflows, controlled downloads, secure folders, auditing and automatic image tagging support formal collection operations. The JSON/REST API connects assets, metadata and workflows with content management systems, collections management systems, e-commerce systems, marketing automation tools, AWS and Azure. Choose iBase DAM for collection-heavy teams that need configurable governance, sharing and deployment choice. Teams seeking a lower-cost, narrowly focused library may find its pricing and feature depth excessive.
