HYPR Authenticate review
A capable enterprise authenticator for passwordless workstation, VDI, and remote access.

HYPR Authenticate is an enterprise passwordless multi-factor authentication product for organizations securing employees, customers, remote workers, shared workstations, and mixed operating-system environments. It uses FIDO2 passkeys, public-key cryptography, and mobile-device biometrics or PINs instead of relying on password-based sign-in. Access covers workstations, virtual desktops, web applications, single sign-on portals, VPNs, and remote desktop environments, with support for Windows, macOS, Linux, iOS, and Android.
Pricing is organized around three paid plans. Identity Assurance Access costs $3 per user per month and includes web access, phishing-resistant onboarding and recovery, and policy controls. Identity Assurance Plus costs $6 per user per month and adds endpoint use cases, desktop MFA, VPN and VDI access, and remote access. Identity Assurance Advanced costs $9 per user per month and adds identity verification for advanced use cases and customizable identity risk orchestration. The published plans show no free tier, so the product is oriented toward organizations budgeting for managed authentication across a workforce.
Its strongest fit is environments where workstation and virtual-desktop authentication matter alongside web and application access. Mobile-initiated workstation login, offline authentication, multi-profile support, multiple device pairings, remote workstation lock, and administrative controls through HYPR Control Center extend it beyond a basic mobile authenticator. Integrations include identity providers, single sign-on systems, VPN, VDI, RDP, Citrix, VMware, and Azure Virtual Desktop. Teams primarily seeking a lightweight authenticator for individual use, or relying on new push-based configurations, should consider a more narrowly focused alternative.
