Hornetsecurity 365 Total Protection is a cloud-based security suite for organizations using Microsoft 365. It brings together spam, malware and phishing filtering with advanced threat protection, malware sandboxing, URL rewriting, quishing analysis and business email compromise detection. The suite also covers email encryption, archiving, continuity, backup, recovery, compliance, permission management and security awareness. It is suited to teams that want email defense and adjacent Microsoft 365 protection in one service rather than a narrow email gateway alone.
Pricing is handled through contact sales, and there is no free plan. A 14-day trial is available. The four plans add capabilities in stages. Plan 1 includes spam and malware filtering, email encryption, and signatures and disclaimers. Plan 2 adds advanced threat protection, email archiving and business continuity. Plan 3 adds automated Microsoft 365 backup and backup recovery. Plan 4 extends the package with security awareness, permission management, domain fraud protection and AI Recipient Validation. This structure makes the higher tiers relevant for organizations that need continuity, recovery and governance as well as filtering.
Microsoft 365 is the clear ecosystem focus. Integrations include Microsoft Teams, OneDrive for Business, SharePoint, Microsoft Planner, Microsoft OneNote and Microsoft Entra ID, while deployment supports API, MX and hybrid approaches. The feature set reaches beyond inbound filtering into outbound filtering, impersonation protection, compliance policies, permission audits, training and attack simulations. Choose it when Microsoft 365 protection, backup and awareness belong in the same suite. Organizations seeking a simpler email-only gateway may find its broader scope more than they need.
