HomeHerald combines HOA administration with a detailed architectural review workflow, making it most relevant to self-managed communities that need structure around design requests. Residents can submit through shared intake; the system classifies ARC applications, asks follow-up questions when submissions are incomplete, and screens requests against uploaded governing documents. Board routing, request tracking, and timestamped decision and action records extend the process beyond intake. The platform also covers payments, books and banking, work orders, amenities, events, notices, violations, and resident communications, so it is not limited to architectural review.

The architectural workflow is the strongest reason to consider HomeHerald. CC&R documents can be uploaded, processed with OCR, searched, and used for rule extraction; violations can be analyzed and handled through configurable escalation workflows. Residents can receive communications through in-app messages, email, SMS, push notifications, and USPS mail. Web, iOS, and Android access support both community administration and mobile use. Named integrations include Stripe, Gmail, Google Gemini, Twilio, igloohome, and WhatsApp. These capabilities suit boards that want a connected review and follow-up process; communities choosing a system mainly for a single administrative task may find its broader scope unnecessary.

According to the vendor's pricing page, monthly paid plans begin at $49, with Automate listed at $49, $99, and $199 per month and Automate+ at $65, $125, and $250 per month. Automate highlights dues and online payments, books and banking, Herald AI and email agents, violation letters, community functions, support, and automatic backups. Automate+ adds a 24-hour phone service and community website, with resident texting and, on one listed tier, a community local number and 500 included voice minutes per month. A 14-day trial is offered. Custom plans are described for more than 400 properties and include migration and implementation. Small and mid-market communities prioritizing ARC automation should assess it; those seeking a narrowly focused tool should compare alternatives.
