Our verdict on Hiri
Hiri is a desktop email client for Microsoft Exchange, Office 365, Exchange on-premises, and Microsoft accounts including Outlook.com, Live, and Hotmail. It is designed for users who want email, calendars, tasks, contacts, reminders, directory access, and archive browsing in one desktop application. Hiri runs on Windows, macOS, and Linux, with offline email access, drafting, and message actions for work that cannot depend on a continuous connection.
Its Microsoft ecosystem fit is the main reason to consider it. Hiri supports Office 365 and Exchange calendar synchronization, shared and public calendar access, Microsoft Active Directory Global Address List access, and browsing and search across Microsoft archives. The task list includes due dates and reminders, while actionable and FYI inbox categorization adds a focused way to separate message types. These capabilities make Hiri a strong match for organizations centered on Microsoft services, but its provider scope is narrow: Gmail, Yahoo, and other non-Microsoft email providers are not supported.
Pricing is straightforward but paid. According to the vendor's pricing page, the Annual plan costs $39 per user per year, while the Lifetime plan costs $119 as a one-time payment. Both plans include access to updates and new features indefinitely, support use on Mac, Windows, and Linux, and allow installation on multiple computers. A seven-day full-feature trial is available before licensing. Hiri should suit Microsoft-centric desktop users who value offline access and integrated calendar, task, directory, and archive tools. Users needing a free plan, a unified inbox across providers, or send-later support should choose another email client.
