Our verdict on Hindenburg Pro
Hindenburg Pro is desktop audio production software for journalists, podcasters, broadcasters and other spoken-word producers. It supports single- and multitrack recording, audio import, non-destructive editing, dialogue cleanup, transcription, manuscript-based editing, sound effects, loudness normalization and publishing. Windows and macOS are supported. The application can import video and edit audio against picture, but it is not a video editor, making it a focused option for spoken-word production rather than a full video suite.
Pricing is organized around Standard, Plus, Premium and Perpetual options. Standard includes the core Hindenburg PRO workspace and Soundly sound library access. Plus adds a basic Soundly sound library and 20 transcription hours per month, while Premium adds a premium Soundly sound library and 50 transcription hours per month. Perpetual is paid once and includes updates through version 2.99, without an ongoing transcription service.
