Hexnode XDR review
Windows-focused endpoint investigations and response, tied to Hexnode UEM.

Hexnode XDR brings endpoint threat detection, investigation, vulnerability management, and remediation into a console for IT administrators. Its incident and alert dashboard tracks lifecycle and severity, while endpoint activity queries help investigate process execution, file activity, network behavior, and system changes. The feature set points to small teams that need Windows endpoint investigations and response, particularly where Hexnode UEM is already part of endpoint management. It is less suited to teams seeking an open XDR platform or a documented multi-OS deployment.
Investigation and response are the product’s clearest strengths. Analysts can review threat trends with MITRE ATT&CK mapping, query endpoint telemetry, and act by isolating an endpoint, quarantining a file, killing a process or process tree, or deleting a process root. Administrators can also scan endpoints, update agents, and track security policy deployment. Reports cover threats, alerts, devices, applications, actions, audits, and policies. This makes the offering broader than alert viewing alone, though its documented scope remains endpoint-centered rather than a verified open XDR ecosystem.
Platform fit and purchasing are important constraints. Hexnode UEM integration supports endpoint onboarding and agent deployment, and the documented integration is Hexnode UEM. The marketing page describes Windows and macOS visibility, but the Help Center overview currently says Windows only, so teams with macOS requirements should resolve that discrepancy before choosing it. According to the vendor’s pricing page, UEM + XDR is contact-sales rather than a standalone XDR plan. Choose Hexnode XDR when Windows endpoint investigation and direct response actions align with a Hexnode UEM environment; consider alternatives if open XDR, broader documented integrations, or clearly separated XDR pricing are priorities.
Hexnode XDR pros and cons
- Where it wins
- Queries correlate endpoint process, file, network, and system activity.
- Response actions include isolation, file quarantine, and process termination.
- Threat analytics, MITRE ATT&CK mapping, and lifecycle-tracked alerts.
- Where it doesn't
- Help Center documentation currently says Windows only.
- Documented integration is Hexnode UEM; it is not open XDR.
- Pricing is contact-sales for a UEM + XDR package, not standalone XDR.
