Hexagon VISI is CAD/CAE/CAM software for manufacturers, mould makers, die designers, and engineering teams working with complex tooling and production data. Its scope covers hybrid solid, surface, and wireframe modelling; mould base and tool assembly design; progressive-die unfolding; sheet-metal workflows; electrode management; and CNC machining from 2.5-axis through 5-axis, including Wire EDM. Assembly management, bills of materials, CAD translation, and manufacturing modules support a connected tooling workflow from design through production.
The strongest fit is for organisations that need dedicated mould and die capabilities rather than a general-purpose modelling package. VISI includes plastic injection mould-flow and thermal analysis, surface repair, standard component catalogues for 3D tool design, and interoperability with WORKNC, ESPRIT, and Machining Strategist.
