Our verdict on Hayu

Hayu is a subscription streaming service for viewers whose watchlist centers on reality television. Its catalog includes franchises such as The Real Housewives and Below Deck, along with new episodes and box sets. Selected shows are available the same day as in the US. With ad-free viewing and apps for mobile devices, it suits reality fans who want a dedicated catalog rather than a broad mix of genres. A 7-day trial is available to eligible new customers.

Hayu offers three rolling subscription periods in the UK: Monthly rolling costs £5.99 per month, 6-month rolling costs £28.99 per 6 months, and 12-month rolling costs £52.99 per 12 months. Each plan highlights ad-free reality TV. There is no free plan, so continued access requires a paid subscription. Prices vary by country, and subscriptions through third-party partners may have different prices; the published UK prices apply when subscribing through Hayu.com or its mobile apps. The longer periods may suit viewers who expect to keep watching, while monthly rolling offers a shorter commitment.

Access spans the web, mobile devices and supported TV platforms, including Apple TV, Amazon Fire TV, Android TV, Xbox, Chromecast, Samsung TV, LG TV and Roku. Episodes can be downloaded for offline viewing in the iOS and Android apps, a useful option for mobile viewing away from a connection. That feature is not described for web or TV access. Choose Hayu if reality franchises, box sets and selected same-day US episodes are the priority; viewers seeking a wider range of genres or a free tier should look elsewhere.
