Our verdict on Haaretz
Haaretz is a digital newspaper covering Israel, the Middle East and the Jewish world, aimed at readers who want reporting and commentary on those subjects. Its English-language publication includes breaking news, opinion, analysis, interviews and in-depth features, with podcasts and games also part of the subscription offering. Access is available on web, iOS and Android, and the publication offers gift subscriptions.
The annual subscription is listed at $96 per year on the official-site offer, shown after a current 20% promotion against a stated original price of $120 per year. The monthly subscription is another paid option; the App Store listing confirms monthly and yearly choices, with prices in Israeli shekels. This makes Haaretz a fit for readers weighing recurring digital access against a year-long commitment, though the annual offer is promotion-dependent and regional pricing can differ. There is no free plan, so readers looking for a free news subscription should look elsewhere.
The publication's breadth is strongest for readers focused on Israel and its surrounding region: coverage spans reporting, opinion, interviews, podcasts and games rather than a single news format. Apps are available for iOS and Android alongside the web edition, and email is the listed support channel. Readers seeking Israeli news and analysis across written and audio formats may find the paid subscription relevant; those who want a free plan or coverage centered on other topics should consider an alternative.
