GratShare review
A mature web-based tip engine for multi-location restaurant payroll workflows.

GratShare is Gratuity Solutions’ tip-management and distribution engine for restaurants and other hospitality operators. It ingests POS, employee, time, sales, gratuity, and service-charge data, then applies configurable pooling, tip-out, role, department, shift, location, and item-level rules. Manager review, overrides, exception handling, employee earnings visibility, payroll-ready exports, and audit history make it suited to multi-location groups with detailed distribution policies.
The published plans separate self-managed administration from service-led support. You Drive costs $49 per location per month and is self-managed. We Drive costs $89 per location per month and adds white-glove service. Enterprise is designed for multi-brand operators and uses custom volume pricing. A 30–90 day free pilot is advertised, but the product does not have a free plan. This structure gives smaller teams a lower-cost self-managed route while reserving the highest-touch model for operators with broader operational needs.
GratShare’s ecosystem is a major part of its fit. The published category specification lists 60 POS integrations, while named connections include Toast, Aloha-NCR, Oracle MICROS, Heartland Restaurant POS, Brink, ADP, Paychex, UKG, Paylocity, Oracle NetSuite, Harri, 7shifts, Altametrics, Branch, and DailyPay. The main trade-off is focus: this is a paid, web-based system built around complex tip governance rather than a lightweight gratuity calculator. Operators that need configurable rules, payroll workflows, and traceable records should shortlist it; teams seeking a free plan or a simpler tool should consider alternatives.
