Our verdict on Geometry Ace
Geometry Ace is an iPad geometry learning app for middle- and high-school students, with classroom tools for teachers. It combines a graphics-based calculator with textbook-style explanations: students can manipulate points, lines, angles, triangles, quadrilaterals, polygons, and circles while step-by-step solutions update as the shapes change. The full version has no ads or in-app purchases, and a separate Geometry Ace Lite app provides limited functionality.
Its standout feature is the interactive construction workspace. Tools cover points, lines, segments, circles, perpendicular and parallel lines, tangents, and angle bisectors. Students can also work with rotations, reflections, translations, and point mapping, then explore geometry vocabulary through examples and non-examples. Vocabulary skills checks add structured review, while saving, importing, and exporting workspace configurations helps preserve activities and shared settings.
For classrooms, Teacher Mode supports monitoring and interaction when students are connected to the same local Wi-Fi network. Quick-Starts can establish shared settings, making the app suited to a coordinated iPad setup rather than a broad device ecosystem. The product is focused on problem practice and dynamic constructions, not proof practice.
