A self-hostable AI assistant for inbox, calendar, tasks, and workflows across 50+ apps.

GAIA is a personal AI assistant for knowledge workers who want help coordinating work across email, calendars, tasks, and connected services. It can triage inboxes, label messages, draft replies, schedule or reschedule meetings, prepare meeting briefs, manage to-dos, and run scheduled or trigger-based workflows. Persistent memory stores user preferences and information, while proactive briefings and follow-ups extend assistance beyond one-off prompts. Access is available through a web app and messaging services including Slack, Discord, Telegram, WhatsApp, and iMessage.
The published plans show a freemium structure. The GAIA plan costs $30 per month and includes morning inbox triage with drafted replies, calendar reminders and meeting briefs, executable todos, automated workflows, long-running jobs, and persistent memory. The vendor also describes a free, MIT-licensed self-hosted edition. Enterprise pricing is custom and adds SSO, SCIM, audit logs, custom integrations, self-hosting or private cloud options, private Slack support, a dedicated engineer, and an SLA. Hosted deployment is available alongside self-hosting, with Docker Compose documented for the latter.
GAIA's ecosystem is a central strength: native connections and MCP provide access to Gmail, Slack, Notion, Google Calendar, Google Drive, GitHub, Figma, Zoom, Linear, Trello, Todoist, WhatsApp, Discord, Asana, ClickUp, and 50+ connected apps overall. That breadth suits teams wanting one assistant to act across existing tools rather than a narrow chat interface. The trade-off is operational and platform focus: self-hosting demands technical ownership, and there are no dedicated mobile apps. Choose GAIA if cross-tool automation, persistent context, open-source access, or private deployment matters; consider a mobile-first assistant if phone apps are essential.
