Frigade review
A capable self-hosted adoption platform with a high monthly entry price.

Frigade is a digital adoption platform for product, growth, and support teams building onboarding and in-app guidance into software products. It combines an Assistant for contextual product tours, workflow guidance, user questions, and Skills with Frigade Engage, which provides React components and dashboard-managed flows. Teams can create walkthroughs, onboarding checklists, announcements, banners, surveys, cards, and tooltips across web, API, and self-hosted deployments. Its strongest fit is a developer-led organization that wants control over implementation and deployment rather than a lightweight, low-cost onboarding tool.
Pricing is structured around a paid Growth plan and a custom Enterprise plan. Growth costs $1,000 per month and includes 2,500 queries, 2 AI agents, unlimited seats, and AI onboarding and in-app help. Enterprise adds custom pricing for custom security, compliance, and integration requirements. There is no $0 self-serve plan in the published plan structure, so the entry point is better suited to teams with a substantial adoption program than to small projects testing the category. The pricing does, however, pair with a broad feature set that includes AI tours, no-code Flow deployment through Collections, targeting, analytics, state management, versioning, and validation.
Frigade also fits teams with an existing product and support ecosystem. Its integrations include Slack, Notion, Zendesk, Intercom, HubSpot, Salesforce, Mixpanel, PostHog, Amplitude, and Segment, while support handoffs can connect to Intercom, Zendesk, HubSpot, and Salesforce. API-based user data and event tracking support custom product environments, and self-hosting is a notable deployment option. The tradeoff is scope and maturity: Frigade was founded in 2023, and its $1,000 monthly starting price makes alternatives more suitable for smaller budgets or simpler onboarding needs. Teams needing native iOS or Android guidance should also look beyond its documented mobile web coverage.
