Fresh DSD is an optional cloud add-on from FreshByte Software for wholesale food distributors handling direct-store deliveries. It keeps inventory at the truck level, where drivers or salespeople can load stock, capture and finalize customer orders, record direct sales, issue credits and print invoices or other documents. Its audience is specifically distributors already working in FreshByte accounting who need truck sales and stock activity reflected in that system; it is not a general route-management tool.

The product’s main strength is connecting field sales activity with truck inventory and back-office accounting. Users can perform physical counts to reconcile truck stock, and orders can be electronically transferred into FreshByte accounting modules. Mobile printing supports invoices and other documents from the vehicle. That gives the module a focused operational scope: stock accountability, order capture, sales and credits, rather than delivery planning or proof of handoff. FreshByte positions its broader platform for produce, meat, seafood, grocery, floral and specialty-food wholesalers.

According to FreshByte’s pricing page, prospects should contact the company for pricing; no free plan is offered. Support channels are email and phone, with support available 24/7. The published deployment option is cloud, and the stated company-size fit spans small, mid-market and enterprise businesses. Buyers should consider Fresh DSD when they need truck inventory and sales processes tied directly to FreshByte accounting. Distributors whose central requirement is route planning or proof of delivery should look for a product with those capabilities instead.
