Our verdict on FreePrints Photo Books
FreePrints Photo Books is a mobile app for creating and ordering personalized photo books from iPhone, iPad, and Android devices. Its main appeal is the free monthly option: each month, customers can order one 20-page standard softcover book without a book charge, while paying shipping and any selected upgrades, extra pages, or additional books. Orders are placed through the app and shipped within the United States, making it a focused choice for mobile users who want recurring photo books rather than a broad print-product service.
The free plan includes one standard softcover book in either 5x7 or 6x6 size. The builder supports layout editing, standard and full-bleed pages, and page layouts with up to six photos. Customers can import images from their device, Facebook, Dropbox, or previous FreePrints orders. Paid choices add premium hardcover books in multiple sizes and deluxe hardcover books with layflat pages, giving buyers a path to different formats when a standard softcover does not fit the project. Shipping and upgrades should be included in the order cost calculation, even when the book itself qualifies for the monthly free offer.
FreePrints Photo Books is best suited to people who want a simple mobile workflow and a regular softcover book allowance. Its iOS and Android availability keeps creation centered on phones and tablets, while in-app customer support chat provides a direct support option. The service is less suitable for someone who needs desktop access, a wider range of print products, or a photo-printing workflow centered on formats beyond books. Buyers who prioritize hardcover construction, larger size choices, or layflat pages can select those paid book tiers, while those seeking the lowest recurring book cost can use the standard monthly option.
