Fortnox is a cloud-based bookkeeping and business administration platform for Swedish businesses and accounting firms. Its core workflow connects with banks and Skatteverket, imports transactions automatically, and supports bookkeeping, transaction matching, reconciliation, supplier invoices, receipts, customer invoicing, and document sharing. The wider product also includes inventory management with FIFO valuation and stock reporting. Web access is complemented by iOS and Android apps, while an open API supports connections with external systems.

The package structure covers seven options: Mini includes Fortnox Access and Bookkeeping; Liten adds Invoicing; Mellan and Stor provide higher package tiers; and Mini+, Mellan+, and Stor+ extend the range. Package prices start at 209 SEK, while Fortnox Access starts at 29 SEK per month. The Mini package shows a combined starting price from 238 SEK per month. New businesses can receive a selected package free for six months with code NYSTARTAD. Listed package prices apply to 12-month contract periods, while three-month periods carry a surcharge. This makes the plan structure worth reviewing alongside the required Access charge.

Fortnox is a strong fit when automated bookkeeping needs to sit alongside invoicing, receipts, inventory, collaboration, and integrations with banking, finance, e-commerce, or point-of-sale systems. Accounting firms can use collaboration and document-sharing features to work with business clients, while the API offers a route to connected workflows. Businesses seeking Swedish tax and bank connectivity with mobile access should find the breadth relevant. It is less suitable for buyers seeking a free bookkeeping product, a narrowly focused ledger, or a pricing model without package and contract considerations.
