Our verdict on Formidable
Formidable is a cloud-based form builder and form API for teams creating dynamic forms and data workflows. It supports natural-language form generation, conditional visibility, validation rules, computed fields, approval logic, and multi-page flows. Forms can be published through hosted URLs, embedded on websites, rendered with the React SDK, or accessed through a REST API. Submission analytics, CSV and JSON exports, and webhook delivery extend its use beyond basic data collection.
The published plans give teams a low-cost way to start. Free costs $0 forever and includes AI form generation, 1 published form, conditional logic, computed fields, webhooks, and analytics. Starter costs $15 per month and adds unlimited published forms, 5,000 submissions per month, and removal of Formidable branding. Pro costs $49 per month, raises the allowance to 10,000 submissions per month, and adds priority support. Form Pass costs $9 one-time for one additional published form slot with 5,000 submissions per month for that form.
Its strongest fit is for workflows that need more than fields and a submit button. Cross-field validation, computed scores and outcomes, approval and reject logic, signed webhook delivery with retry, and REST access provide useful control for validation-heavy processes. PDF or URL form import can also support migration into a new workflow. Teams should choose Formidable when they want AI-assisted creation alongside API access and workflow rules. It is less suitable for teams that need more than one published form on the free plan, higher listed submission allowances, or priority support without choosing Pro.
