ForgeRock Identity Platform review
Configurable passkey journeys across web, mobile and self-managed deployments.

ForgeRock Identity Platform is Ping Identity’s identity and access management software for customer, employee and partner identities. Its components cover access management, identity management, directory services and an identity gateway. For passkey programs, it supports WebAuthn registration and authentication, passwordless sign-in and usernameless authentication journeys. Enterprises can use it across web, Android, iOS, APIs and self-managed environments, with mobile and web SDKs for application integration.
Pricing for passwordless customer identity is handled through a sales process rather than published tiers. The platform can be deployed as self-managed software, while Ping also offers the related PingOne Advanced Identity Cloud as a cloud service. This gives organizations a choice between operating the software themselves and adopting a related cloud delivery model. Teams evaluating it should map the deployment approach, identity components and policy requirements to their operating model before engaging sales.
The standout capability is configurability: authentication policies and journeys can shape how passkeys, passwordless access and usernameless sign-in work across channels. Android and iOS SDKs support mobile passkeys, while the JavaScript SDK supports web biometrics. Directory services and synchronization across directories extend the platform beyond a single login screen, making it suitable for organizations coordinating customer, workforce and partner identities. Choose ForgeRock when passkey authentication must fit broader identity management and directory workflows. A team seeking only a narrowly scoped passkey component may prefer a smaller product focused on one application or channel.
