Our verdict on FolioDen
FolioDen is an online gallery platform for photographers working across weddings, portraits, events and commercial projects. Its private galleries bring together client proofing, favourite selections, downloads, delivery, watermarks and permission controls. Photographers can also create public art galleries, sell digital photos and gallery products, and use gallery activity reports to follow engagement. The result is a focused workflow for photographers who want client delivery and online sales alongside marketing tools.
Pricing is structured around a free Launch plan and two paid tiers. Launch includes 5GB of photo storage, unlimited galleries, client delivery tools and online gallery sales; paid gallery sales carry a 15% FolioDen commission. Pro Studio costs £10.99 per month or £99 per year and adds 100GB of storage, branding and social links, marketing automations, and no FolioDen sales commission. Elite Creative costs £22.99 per month or £180 per year, with unlimited photo storage, unlimited galleries, custom domains, marketing automations, priority support and no FolioDen sales commission. The published annual starting price is £8.25 per month.
FolioDen’s strongest fit is for photographers who want more than a proofing gallery: the platform connects selection and delivery with sales, discounts, branding and marketing automations. Custom domains and priority support are reserved for Elite Creative, while Launch has a smaller storage allowance and a sales commission. It is therefore well suited to independent photographers adding commercial and marketing activity to their client workflow. Photographers seeking a web-based gallery, proofing and sales service with a free entry point should consider it; those requiring a broader platform ecosystem or capabilities beyond its focused gallery workflow should look elsewhere.
