Flowx is an Android weather app for people who want to inspect forecast simulations rather than rely only on a simple conditions summary. It animates weather maps through time and lets users compare model outputs on maps and in graphs. Its layers cover precipitation, temperature, wind and pressure, alongside more specialized data such as air quality, marine conditions, smoke, UV and visibility. Sun and moon information, hurricane and storm track data, and home screen widgets add practical context. The vendor positions it for activities including sailing, hiking and photography, though it is also suited to general forecast exploration.

The free version includes seven-day forecast data and access to listed global weather models and data. Gold is purchased annually and includes a 14-day free trial. It extends forecasts to as many as 16 days, adds three-day historical hindcast data, advanced graph and spectrum editors, and additional high-resolution forecast models. Those additions are most relevant to people who regularly compare model behavior or want more control over how weather data is displayed; casual users may find the free forecast range sufficient. The published plan information does not give a Gold price, so buyers should check the vendor's current subscription terms before deciding.

Flowx's strongest distinction is the combination of animated maps, model comparison, editable graphs and specialized weather layers in an Android-only mobile app. That depth favors users willing to interpret forecast models, rather than those seeking a quick, conventional forecast interface. Radar layers are not indicated as a current feature; release notes report that RainViewer radar service was discontinued in January 2026. Email is the listed support channel. Choose Flowx if model comparison and data visualization are central to your forecast routine; choose another app if radar coverage or severe alerts are essential.
