A beginner-friendly 2D visual scripting tool with publishing, exports, and classroom support.

Flowlab is a browser-based 2D game creation platform for individual developers, beginners, educators, and classrooms. Its node-based visual behavior graphs let users build game logic without traditional coding, while a Custom Code node adds optional scripted logic. The editor also includes built-in physics, sprite editing, animation, sound, music, debugging, browser multiplayer, hosted game pages, and website embeds. Games can run as HTML5 projects, while paid plans support exports to iOS, Android, Windows, and Mac.
The plan structure separates personal experimentation from broader publishing and classroom use. The Free plan includes three games, five levels per game, and 50 game objects per game, but does not include exporting. The Indie plan adds unlimited games and objects, unlocks all editor features, supports exports to all platforms, and allows creators to make money with games. The Teacher plan includes one teacher account, 25 student accounts, enhanced privacy, unlimited games, objects, and exports, plus purchase-order purchasing. Flowlab is therefore a practical fit for learning, prototypes, and small 2D projects that benefit from visual logic and browser-based access.
Its ecosystem reaches beyond the editor: integrations include Apple App Store, Google Play, Amazon Appstore, Steam, itch.io, AdMob, Google Classroom, Clever, and LTI. Live and step-through debugging can help explain behavior during development, while multiplayer and hosted publishing support sharing. The main boundary is scope: Flowlab is explicitly 2D, so teams planning 3D work should choose another tool. It also suits users who value visual workflows more than a conventional code-first engine.
