Flexprice review
A broad usage-billing platform for SaaS teams managing complex pricing and invoicing.

Flexprice is a usage-based billing and metering platform for AI and SaaS companies. It is designed for engineering and finance teams that need to collect usage events, apply configurable pricing, and generate invoices without maintaining billing logic in application code. The platform supports REST API and SDK-based ingestion, Kafka and cloud event-stream connectors, and pricing models that include flat, per-seat, graduated, tiered, volume-based, credit packs, and minimum commitments. Prepaid credit packs include balance and expiry tracking, while invoices can include proration, multi-currency, and tax line items.
The plan structure gives teams a low-cost way to start and a clear production-oriented upgrade path. Developer is free per month and includes a REST API, one SDK, basic invoice generation, email support, Community Slack, and 14-day data retention. Growth costs $299 per month when billed monthly and adds unlimited pricing plans, all SDKs, a Kafka connector, multi-currency invoicing, dunning and retry logic, a revenue analytics dashboard, and priority email and Slack support. Enterprise uses custom annual contracts and adds a custom event volume SLA, dedicated Kafka cluster, custom data retention, SSO/SAML, custom integrations, and a dedicated Slack channel.
Flexprice fits teams whose billing model depends on varied event streams and detailed rating rules rather than a simple recurring subscription. Its integrations span Stripe, Braintree, Salesforce, HubSpot, Zapier, Snowflake, dbt, Postgres, Segment, Kafka, AWS, GCP, and Slack, giving it a broad connection surface across payments, CRM, analytics, and infrastructure. The main trade-off is that the free plan has limited retention and basic invoicing, while advanced operational features require Growth or Enterprise. Teams with straightforward fixed-price billing may not need this level of metering and rating capability; growing SaaS companies with changing usage models are the stronger fit.
