Flex review
A broad operations platform for teams managing rental inventory across multiple jobs.

Flex is event rental management software for production companies, staging houses, AV rental operations, lighting and sound companies, and other teams managing significant inventory across multiple jobs and locations. It brings quoting, contracts, inventory reservations, warehouse preparation, scanning, crew coordination, transportation, returns, invoicing, and payments into one web-based platform with an API. The product is aimed at organizations that need multi-user, multi-location control rather than a lightweight tool for occasional rentals.
Its strongest area is internal rental logistics. Quote and proposal creation can connect to live inventory availability, while reservation conflict detection helps coordinate equipment across jobs. Barcode, QR, and RFID scanning support warehouse workflows, pull sheets, manifests, load tracking, and return scanning. Crew scheduling, truck sheets, transportation tracking, maintenance records, repairs, and service history extend the workflow beyond booking. Integrations include QuickBooks, PayEngine, DocuSign, Pro Subrental Marketplace, CrewDriver, Zapier, and a REST API, giving teams several ways to connect finance, signatures, staffing, and automation.
Flex uses a paid subscription with unlimited users and includes a 30-day free trial. The subscription covers quoting, booking, planning, job execution, inventory management, and warehouse management. There is no separate free plan, and no named plan tiers are shown. Flex is a strong fit for established rental operations that need detailed internal coordination from reservation through return and maintenance. Teams primarily seeking customer-facing online booking, or those with simpler inventory needs, should consider a more focused alternative.
