FirmRoom is a cloud virtual data room for investment banking, private equity, M&A, fundraising, divestitures, and other document-intensive transactions. It combines secure document storage and sharing with granular document and folder permissions, watermarking, redaction, NDA workflows, audit trails, analytics, search, indexing, version control, and a built-in document and Excel viewer. Unlimited internal and external users are included on each plan, making the product a fit for transaction teams that need controlled access without seat-based pricing.

Pricing is based on storage and the published monthly plans include one data room on every tier. The 2GB plan costs $395 per month, while the 5GB plan costs $695 per month and the 10GB plan costs $995 per month. All three plans include unlimited users, watermarking, granular permissions, an NDA workflow, and audit trail and analytics capabilities. A 14-day trial provides a way to evaluate the workflow before committing, but the starting price places FirmRoom closer to teams with recurring transaction needs than to smaller groups seeking a low-cost repository.

Its strongest case is controlled document exchange within a browser. Full-text search and indexing, built-in viewing, version control, dynamic and static watermarking, and user and document analytics support due diligence and other sensitive workflows. The trade-off is a web-only platform without verified integrations or AI features, which may limit its fit for organizations seeking broader ecosystem connectivity or automated analysis. Choose FirmRoom for straightforward, permission-heavy VDR storage across transaction participants; consider an alternative if integrations, AI, or a lower entry price are central requirements.
