Our verdict on File Approved
File Approved is a browser-based online proofing platform for videographers, video editors, motion designers, freelancers, and creative agencies. It supports video and audio review with time-coded comments, frame-level annotations, revision requests, version history, and one-click approvals. Reviewers can open shared links without creating an account, while password-protected links and approval certificates support client sign-off. The platform also handles PDF, image, Office, code, and other creative files, making it suitable for focused review workflows across common project assets.
Pricing is structured around a free plan and one paid tier. The Free plan includes one active review link, 10 GB of file storage, time-coded and page-specific comments, frame annotations, one-click approval or revision requests, and version history. Pro costs $25 per month when billed monthly and adds unlimited active review links, 5 TB of storage, multi-file approvals, ZIP downloads, custom branding, and approval and revision email notifications. The paid tier is a practical step up for teams managing multiple concurrent client reviews or larger deliverables.
File Approved’s strongest fit is a simple approval process centered on links, annotations, revisions, and formal sign-off. Its browser-only delivery and guest reviewer access keep the review path focused, while client downloads and ZIP downloads support handoff after approval. Teams that need listed integrations, broader platform connectivity, or verified side-by-side video comparison should consider another proofing option. Choose File Approved when clear time-coded feedback and documented approval matter more than a broad ecosystem or advanced comparison tools.
