faxtastic! is an online fax service for UK businesses that need to receive faxes through a dedicated number or send documents by email. Incoming faxes are delivered to nominated email addresses and stored in an online control panel, while outbound messages can be sent to destination fax numbers. It supports web and API access, with email as its main integration. The free 0872 Free plan is particularly suited to users whose priority is inbound fax reception rather than regular outbound sending.
The receiving plans are straightforward. 0872 Free provides a free fax number and inbound faxing. The 0844 and UK Local plans each cost £45 per year. 0844 includes worldwide coverage and no upper limit on received faxes, while UK Local provides a local UK fax number and worldwide coverage. Outbound sending is separate: 100 credits cost £10, 250 cost £20, 500 cost £30, and 1,000 cost £50. These prepaid credits do not expire, which suits occasional faxing and avoids a recurring outbound allowance.
Document support is broad for an email-based service, covering PDF, plain text, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint attachments. The control panel provides fax history and downloads, and received faxes can be sent to multiple email destinations. Possible fax-number porting may help existing users retain a number. The trade-off is a narrow ecosystem: access is centered on email, the web, and API rather than broader integrations or mobile apps. The service also states that it no longer accepts new sign-ups. Existing customers or users with access who need simple UK inbound faxing should find the feature set well aligned; businesses seeking wider platform coverage or new account availability should choose an alternative.
