FaxChat review
A focused browser fax service for simple sending, receiving, and tracking.

FaxChat is a browser-based service for sending and receiving documents by fax. It suits individuals and small businesses that want a focused inbox rather than a broader document platform, including tax professionals, legal users, real-estate professionals, and other organizations exchanging documents by fax. The Pro plan adds a dedicated US fax number, a chat-style inbox threaded by contact, scheduled sending, batch delivery, send history, receipts, and automatic retries for failed sends. The browser interface is mobile-responsive, but the service does not offer a native mobile app.
Pricing is divided between a monthly plan and one-off sending. Pro costs $12 per month and includes 200 send pages and 300 receive pages, along with inbound and outbound faxing features. Pay-per-use fax costs $1.50 per fax, requires no account, includes a free cover sheet, and provides an automatic refund if delivery fails. This gives occasional senders a way to avoid a monthly plan, while regular users get a dedicated number and receive capability through Pro.
FaxChat’s strongest fit is a simple, web-based fax workflow centered on contact-threaded conversations, scheduled sends, batch delivery, delivery status, and retry handling. Its scope is narrower for teams that need integrations, compliance support, multiple users, or a native mobile application. International faxing is technically supported, although the service is designed for US domestic faxing. Choose FaxChat when straightforward browser faxing and a familiar threaded inbox matter most; consider an alternative when broader platform connections, compliance features, or team administration are central requirements.
