Factbird review
A broad OEE and factory-visibility suite for multi-site manufacturing operations.

Factbird is a cloud-based manufacturing intelligence suite for manufacturers, plant managers, operators, and continuous-improvement teams. Its Production Insights application captures production data from sensors, PLCs, OPC UA, MQTT, and other sources, then provides OEE calculations, real-time dashboards, downtime analysis, reporting, scheduling, and factory-wide visibility. The broader suite adds digital quality workflows, e-signatures, audit trails, workforce training, and continuous-improvement tools. It is suited to operations managing individual lines through multi-site manufacturing environments.
Pricing is paid and starts at USD 250 per line per month on the published single-site plans, with both one-year and two-year agreement options shown at that amount. The Production Insights and Connected Operations apps are listed at USD 399 per line per month. Knowledge Excellence is USD 500 per site per month, while Factbird Platform is USD 1,000 per site per month. The pricing structure therefore separates production-line functionality from site-level capabilities. Multi-site and Enterprise options add centralized SSO and MFA management, SCIM, private cloud, custom SLA, data lake connectivity, and unlimited data storage and backup.
Factbird’s strongest fit is for manufacturers that need more than a standalone OEE dashboard. Its integration surface includes SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, Power BI, Tableau, Kepware, Cogent DataHub, OMRON PLCs, OPC Router, GraphQL API, webhooks, and data lakes. AI-assisted analysis, scrap and waste analysis, Pareto analysis, batch and shift scheduling, and quality tracking extend the operational scope. That breadth can suit multi-site teams seeking one connected system, while organizations wanting only basic OEE and downtime tracking may prefer a narrower, lower-cost tool.
Factbird pros and cons
- Where it wins
- Calculates OEE with real-time performance and downtime tracking
- Connects machines, PLCs, sensors, data lakes, and business systems
- Combines quality, scheduling, training, and operational workflows
- Where it doesn't
- No free plan is available
- Pricing uses both per-line and per-site billing
- Enterprise capabilities require higher-tier deployment options
