EzWaypoints review
A focused waypoint manager for Minecraft Java players who skip full map overlays.
Reviewed by iTechGuides Editors · Editorial team · Updated Oct 2026
EzWaypoints is a client-only Fabric mod for Minecraft Java Edition that focuses on waypoint management rather than map overlays. Players can create, edit, delete, browse, and display saved points directly in the game world. It is aimed at players who want waypoint functionality with fewer settings and less interface clutter than map-based alternatives, especially those who move between singleplayer worlds and multiplayer servers.
Its strongest area is portability and organization. EzWaypoints keeps separate waypoint profiles for worlds and multiplayer servers, reducing the risk of mixing locations between saves or servers. Share codes allow waypoint profiles to be imported and exported, while colored labels, adjustable label scale, optional Y coordinates, and toggle or hold display modes provide control over how locations appear in the world. Overworld–Nether waypoint linking adds coordinate conversion for players managing locations across dimensions.
The mod also includes a conditional teleport button when server teleport commands are available, but it remains focused on waypoints rather than broader navigation. It does not include a minimap, entity radar, or cave mapping, so players looking for live terrain views, nearby-entity awareness, or underground mapping should choose a map-focused alternative instead. Its compatibility is specifically tied to Fabric and Minecraft Java Edition versions 1.21.8–1.21.11. EzWaypoints is the better fit for players who want portable, labeled waypoint profiles and a restrained interface; it is less suitable for anyone expecting a full minimap or expanded exploration overlay.
