Our verdict on ExamFX
ExamFX provides online preparation for insurance and securities licensing exams, with additional continuing education and product training. It is designed for individual licensing candidates as well as carriers, agencies, broker-dealers, and financial-services teams. The platform combines state-specific courses with an interactive learning portal, structured study paths, study calendars, quizzes, flashcards, progress analytics, and exam readiness tools. Its published offering has been available since 1996 and supports solo, small, mid-market, and enterprise users.
Pricing is organized into three paid packages with one-time annual pricing. The Self-Study Package costs $169.95 and includes the interactive learning portal, online exam simulations, a readiness exam, and instructor and technical support. The Video Study Package costs $239.95 and adds on-demand video lectures and online flashcards. The Live Online Package costs $369.95 and includes those video and flashcard features plus a live online webinar. Course availability, access duration, and pricing vary by state and exam type, so candidates should match the package to their licensing requirements before purchasing.
The strongest fit is for learners who want a defined preparation path rather than a question bank alone. Exam simulations, readiness exams, progress analytics, remediation tips, and AI-generated flashcards, quizzes, and explanations provide several ways to review and identify weak areas. Email, chat, phone, and documentation support are available, with instructor and technical support included in the Self-Study Package highlights. The platform is cloud-based and web-centered, with mobile compatibility. Candidates seeking a free option, a lower-cost entry point, or a product outside insurance and securities licensing should choose another type of exam-preparation service.
