ESET Secure Authentication review
Established hybrid MFA for Windows and VPNs, with broad factor and integration coverage.

ESET Secure Authentication adds multi-factor authentication to business systems and applications across hybrid environments. It is aimed at organizations protecting Windows login, Remote Desktop, VPN, RADIUS services, web applications, Microsoft services, cloud services, and VMware Horizon View. Deployment can be cloud-based or on premises, with a web-based administration console. ESET, founded in 1992, provides authentication options for established directory and access environments rather than focusing on a single application or login method.
Pricing is presented through one ESET Secure Authentication plan with regional Czech pricing, per-device billing, and a 50–99 device tier. The published starting figure is 573, shown without VAT and billed annually per device. There is no free plan. Organizations should review regional pricing before budgeting, particularly when device-based licensing applies across a hybrid deployment. The product is best suited to business environments that need coverage across multiple access points rather than teams looking for a free or narrowly scoped MFA tool.
Its strongest differentiator is the range of authentication and integration paths in one product. Mobile-app HOTP and TOTP, push authentication, SMS, email, custom delivery methods, FIDO authenticators, and hard tokens are supported, with offline authentication available for selected factors. Directory synchronization covers Active Directory and LDAP, while SAML, AD FS, RADIUS, REST APIs, a User Management API, and an SDK extend its reach into custom applications. Choose ESET Secure Authentication when Windows, VPN, directory, and application protection must work together. An alternative may be more suitable for organizations that prioritize a free plan, simpler single-use deployment, or pricing outside a per-device model.
