Emsisoft STOP Djvu Decryptor is a free Windows utility for people trying to recover files affected by STOP Djvu ransomware. It attempts decryption when Emsisoft has a matching offline key. For older Djvu versions, users can submit encrypted and original file pairs through Emsisoft’s portal. The tool is aimed at individual users and small environments needing a focused file-recovery attempt, rather than a general ransomware recovery or prevention suite.

The decryptor can process selected local folders, connected drives, and network drives. It can retain encrypted files after processing, and users can save or copy a decryption report. These options support a more controlled workflow: preserving the encrypted originals and keeping a record of the attempt. The product is a desktop utility, not a command-line tool, and it is limited to Windows. It also needs an internet connection while running because it receives decryption instructions from an Emsisoft server; it is not suited to an offline recovery environment.

The central limitation is key availability. A matching offline key is required, and the tool cannot decrypt every affected file; newer RSA variants may not be supported, although files encrypted with available offline keys may still be decryptable. Emsisoft provides the utility as-is, and technical support for its tools is available only to customers with a paid Emsisoft product. Choose it when the affected files are from STOP Djvu and a matching key may apply, especially if preserving originals and reviewing a report matter. It is not the right choice when offline operation, guaranteed recovery, or support for all Djvu variants is required.
