Our verdict on Eight Angle

Eight Angle is a yoga practice tracker for people who already have a routine and want to see how they move through poses. On iPhone and iPad, it detects poses during practice, records hold durations and lets users review a session pose by pose. It is designed to accompany self-guided practice or videos, rather than replace a structured class service. Curated videos are available in the app, but they are not presented as an on-demand class library.

Its strongest distinction is the level of practice review. Session playback pairs video with pose durations, while highlights and still images help capture parts of a practice. A pose collection shows practiced and unpracticed poses; progress trends, personal records and practice balance provide a longer-term view. Recommendations are based on practice level, and achievements reflect pose hold times and repetition. Pose processing runs on device, with optional iCloud sync for subscribers. YouTube is also listed as an integration. These tools make Eight Angle a better fit for people interested in tracking their own practice than for learners seeking guided instruction or a large class catalog.

Eight Angle has a free plan and a 7-day trial that starts after the first practice and requires no payment. The Subscription costs $5.99 per month or $39.99 per year; both paid options include pose insights, achievements, progress tracking and iCloud sync. That makes it possible to begin without paying, then choose whether deeper tracking is worth a recurring subscription. The iOS-only availability is a constraint for anyone who needs Android or desktop access. Choose Eight Angle if pose-level feedback and review are central to your practice; look elsewhere if you want an extensive library of structured classes or broader platform support.
