Our verdict on Efofex FX Equation
Efofex FX Equation is a desktop equation editor for secondary-school mathematics and physics teachers. It runs on Windows and macOS and supports both typed entry and menu-based equation creation. As users type mathematical expressions, the software automatically formats them and distinguishes equation content from ordinary text. Its audience is primarily educators and other desktop users who need formatted equations for Microsoft Word and related documents.
The editor covers common mathematical notation, including Greek letters, integrals, limits, matrices, and vectors. Microsoft Word integration supports a direct office workflow, while export options include LaTeX, MathML, Microsoft Word Equation, SVG, and OLE. This range suits users who need to move equations between teaching materials, editable documents, and systems that accept markup or graphics. The combination of text entry, menus, and multiple export formats gives it a broader exchange path than a tool limited to one document format.
FX Equation is distributed through Efofex’s FX Math Tools and FX Science Tools downloads as a paid product with no free plan. Evaluation downloads apply a watermark to graphics, which affects how trial output can be shared. The deployment is desktop-focused rather than web-based, and email is the listed support channel. Choose it if you work on Windows or macOS, rely on Microsoft Word, and need exports such as LaTeX or MathML. Users seeking a browser editor, a free plan, or an unwatermarked evaluation workflow should consider another option.
