Editable World Generation gives Minecraft: Java Edition players a custom world type with an in-game interface for editing generation rules. It is aimed at Fabric players who want to shape a world without relying solely on preset generation. Its scope includes terrain and caves, biome settings, vegetation, ores, structures, features, and block spawning, with settings for the Overworld, Nether, and End. The project page describes singleplayer-only support, so it is not a fit for players seeking multiplayer world-generation controls.

The mod combines broad generation controls with previewing and settings import/export. A preview lets players inspect results from configured rules, while import and export provide a way to carry settings between configurations. This breadth makes it more suitable for players who want to adjust several parts of world generation than for those looking only to add new biomes: the listed features cover editing existing generation settings, and biome additions are not included. The custom world type is central to the workflow, so players seeking controls outside that in-game editor may prefer a different approach.

Editable World Generation is free and lists Fabric support on desktop. Compatible versions listed include 26.3, 26.2, 26.1.x, 1.21.10–1.21.11, 1.21.1, 1.20.6, and 1.20.1. The project page lists 26.3 compatibility while also saying work on that port is ongoing, so players targeting that version should check the relevant release before installing. Live changes to generation values with chunk updates are available as an alpha feature; treat that option as experimental rather than a core requirement. Choose it if you want detailed singleplayer generation controls and can work within Fabric; look elsewhere if you need another loader or multiplayer support.
