A low-cost EDI toolkit for developers who need libraries, APIs, and local processing.

EdiFabric is a developer-focused toolkit for translating, validating, generating, splitting, merging, and acknowledging electronic business documents. It is designed for individual developers, small teams, and enterprises building or operating in-house EDI integrations. The product includes .NET, native, and Cloud offerings, with support for standards such as X12, X12 HIPAA, EDIFACT, EANCOM, HL7, NCPDP, VDA, IATA PADIS, IAIABC, and EDIGAS. Supported document types include invoices, purchase orders, purchase order responses, despatch advice, acknowledgments, medical claims, cargo reports, passenger lists, price catalogues, and transport status.
Pricing is structured around development, enterprise, perpetual, OEM, and usage-based needs. The free Community plan includes 250 operations per day, one leased seat, and non-production use. Developer costs $179 per year and adds 3,000 Cloud operations per month, unlimited local operations, three leased seats, service bureau processing, and standard support. Enterprise costs $799 per year with 25,000 Cloud operations per month, unlimited local operations, unlimited leased seats and users, full offline mode, and service bureau processing. Perpetual costs $2,950 one time, while OEM costs $4,500 per year. Cloud only is priced at $0.01 per operation, with the first 1,000 operations each month free.
Its main strength is technical flexibility: users can work through a REST API, .NET library, native C ABI, or self-hosted API across Windows, macOS, and Linux. Detailed validation errors and technical acknowledgments such as X12 997, 999, TA1, and EDIFACT CONTRL support structured EDI workflows. The product is a strong fit for developers who want control over processing and deployment. Teams seeking partner onboarding or hosted processing for PHI and other regulated data should choose an alternative approach.
