Our verdict on EdbMails IMAP Migration Tool
EdbMails IMAP Migration Tool transfers email mailboxes, folders, attachments, metadata, and email properties between IMAP servers and destinations such as Microsoft 365, Exchange Server, and PST. It is designed for individual users, small and medium-sized businesses, enterprises, IT administrators, and hosting providers handling email moves or backups. The Windows-only application supports direct IMAP-to-IMAP transfers, multiple providers, and migration to Microsoft 365 or Exchange Server.
Pricing is structured around one-time purchases. The Demo version is free and capped at 30 items per folder. The Full version costs $10 per user and includes full IMAP migration features with unlimited items. Package options priced at $200 and $299 include IMAP to Exchange, IMAP to Microsoft 365, IMAP to PST, IMAP to IMAP, and PST to IMAP migration. The Unlimited option costs $499 and includes the same listed migration paths. The low-cost full version suits smaller transfers, while the higher-priced packages target larger mailbox operations.
Its strongest functional area is controlled mailbox movement. Concurrent processing can handle multiple mailboxes, incremental migration supports subsequent runs, and automatic mailbox mapping reduces repetitive destination setup. Filters can target dates, senders, attachments, and logical conditions, while customized target-folder selection and preserved folder hierarchy help maintain mailbox organization. Pause and resume support allows work to continue without downtime, and migration reports provide operational records. The scope is email-focused: calendar and contact migration are not included. Choose EdbMails for affordable Windows-based IMAP mailbox transfers with filtering and repeat-run controls; choose another option when calendar or contact migration is a core requirement.
