Our verdict on Echometer
Echometer is a cloud-based retrospective platform for agile teams, Scrum Masters, Agile Coaches and team leads. It supports live and asynchronous retrospectives through reusable formats, collaborative boards, anonymous feedback, voting, health checks, surveys and action tracking. Teams can participate through the web, Windows, macOS and Linux, while browser-based sessions also support computers, tablets and mobile devices. Remote, on-site and hybrid teams can use the same workspace for retrospectives and team development reviews.
The pricing model is freemium and charges per team rather than per user. The Starter plan provides 1 team, 25 workspace members, unlimited retro guests and 1 retrospective per month after the trial period. Pro costs €29 per team per month with annual billing or €35 with monthly billing, adding unlimited retrospectives, unlimited workspace members, customizable retrospectives and health checks, plus an unlimited archive. Business costs €49 per team per month annually or €60 monthly, adding SAML SSO, email domain filters, individual contracts and agreements, payment on invoice and prioritized support.
Echometer’s strongest fit is for teams that want more than a one-off discussion board: action items can be tracked across retrospectives, health checks can show team-development trends, and online whiteboards support breakout sessions. Jira integration connects retrospective actions with Jira, while Google login and SAML SSO support account access. Teams with light retrospective needs can stay on Starter, but the one-retrospective monthly limit makes Pro more suitable for teams running regular sessions. Business is the clearer choice for organizations requiring SAML SSO, domain controls, contractual flexibility or prioritized support.
