Easypay review
Canadian payroll processing with flexible pay periods, tax filings and desktop software.

Easypay is Windows-based payroll software for Canadian small and medium-sized businesses. It processes hourly, salaried and commissioned employees, with schedules ranging from weekly to monthly, plus ten- or thirteen-pay periods. Its Canadian focus covers EI, CPP and tax calculations across provinces and territories, alongside T4, T4A and Quebec RL-1 returns. Firms that prefer desktop payroll processing and need these Canadian payroll tasks in one product are its clearest fit.
Payroll depth is a distinguishing strength: Easypay generates EFT files for direct deposit to Canadian bank accounts, electronically files tax returns, and automates individual or batched Records of Employment. It also retains cheque history for reporting and audit, and exports general-ledger entries to supported accounting packages. Listed integrations include QuickBooks, Sage 300 ERP, Accpac and Telpay. Optional Easystub adds online employee access to pay stubs and T4 slips; an optional Customizer module imports time-clock data. Teams seeking broader online employee access should account for that optional component.
The published software price is a one-time $479, rather than a per-user subscription, and there is a 45-day trial; no free plan is offered. The Annual Support Package is listed separately and includes tax-table software updates for the year plus unlimited phone and email technical support. The software plan includes that support package and tax-table updates through the end of 2027. Windows availability and exports tied to supported accounting packages are practical constraints for firms that need a different platform or a less constrained integration fit. Easypay suits Canadian small or mid-market businesses comfortable with desktop-oriented payroll; firms prioritizing online-first workflows should compare alternatives.
