Our verdict on Easy Web Editor
Easy Web Editor is a Windows desktop application for creating personal and small-business websites without directly editing HTML. It supports visual website editing, multi-page projects stored in a single AEH file, visual and special links, popup windows, forms, frames and HTML insertion for advanced users. Its audience is people who want a straightforward visual authoring workflow, particularly on Windows, rather than a code-first editor. The vendor describes a separate product, 1SITE, for professional sites.
The Regular edition costs $99 as a one-time purchase and includes website authoring, HTML export and internal FTP publishing. A free trial is available without a time limit, allowing prospective buyers to review the workflow before purchasing. The product also imports RTF and ASCII files, which can help when bringing existing text into a project. Its single-file project structure keeps each multi-page website together, while HTML insertion provides an option for users who need more control than visual editing alone offers.
Easy Web Editor’s main strength is its focused set of authoring and publishing features: users can create pages visually, add links and popups, export HTML, publish through FTP, and include forms or shopping-cart functionality. The trade-off is its Windows-only coverage and narrower positioning. The published product description emphasizes personal and small-business sites, while the vendor points professional-site work toward 1SITE. Choose Easy Web Editor if a Windows desktop editor, one-time pricing and built-in FTP match your workflow. Consider another product if broader platform coverage or more responsive capabilities matter more than this focused feature set.
