DrayMate review
A focused dispatch and fleet system for port, rail, and container operations.

DrayMate is a cloud-based transportation management system for intermodal and drayage carriers operating across U.S. and Canadian port and rail networks. It brings dispatch, appointment scheduling, container tracking, invoicing, driver and fleet records, document management, customer portals, and driver mobile apps into one product. Dispatchers can assign orders, monitor container and truck activity, manage prepulls and yard moves, capture proof-of-delivery signatures, and track chassis records. It is a strong fit for fleets whose work depends on terminals, containers, chassis, and customer visibility rather than broad general trucking workflows.
The published license terms describe a one-time license fee, optional paid integrations, and a monthly fee based on active trucks. The product is paid and includes web, iOS, Android, and API access. Integrations include Samsara, Motive, GeoTab, TruckerCloud, QuickBooks Online, Sage50, BorderConnect, and Draydex.com. These connections make DrayMate relevant for fleets coordinating telematics, electronic logging, accounting, border processes, and drayage-specific services. Customer ePORTAL adds container visibility, order placement, POD search, and document exchange for shippers and other customers.
Its strongest differentiator is the depth of its drayage workflow: automated and manual container track and trace, appointment scheduling, order status tracking, customer-specific invoicing, accessorial charges, chassis management, and terminal-oriented operations. Driver apps provide order updates, ETA, route information, and proof-of-delivery signatures, while GPS and ELD integrations bring truck location, HOS, and settlement data into the system. Fleets focused on ports and rail should find this specialization relevant. Companies seeking a broader general trucking platform may prefer a product designed around wider operating models.
DrayMate pros and cons
- Where it wins
- Container tracking covers port and rail terminals
- Automated invoicing handles rates and accessorial charges
- Mobile POD, GPS, and ELD workflows support drivers and dispatchers
- Where it doesn't
- Built primarily for intermodal and drayage operations
- Costs include a license fee, integration charges, and truck-based fees
- General trucking fleets may find its specialization limiting
