Our verdict on Dool
Dool is a freemium habit-tracking app for iPhone users who want routines to feel more like a progression system than a checklist. It supports daily, weekly, monthly, hourly, and custom schedules, along with multiple completions per day. Its audience is people who respond to visible progress, rewards, reminders, and friendly competition. The app turns activity into streaks, XP, Gems, badges, achievements, and a virtual garden, while widgets make habit check-ins available from the home screen.
The feature mix is broad for a personal habit tracker. Morning, evening, and custom reminders can be paired with quiet hours, while custom themes, skins, colors, sounds, and dark mode allow users to adjust the experience. Friends and global leaderboards add a social layer, and AI-generated starter habits can help users begin during onboarding. These features make Dool a strong fit for users who want motivation built into the tracking process. Users seeking a minimal interface with little emphasis on rewards, competition, or customization may prefer a simpler alternative.
Dool uses a freemium model with a free plan and two premium options: Dool Premium Monthly and Dool Premium Yearly. The listed starting price is 2.99, and pricing may vary by country or currency. The premium plans are identified as premium subscriptions, while the product’s broader feature set includes reminders, widgets, data export, and flexible scheduling. The main platform limitation is its iOS-only availability, which rules it out for Android and cross-platform users. Pick Dool if you want gamified habit building with detailed scheduling and social features; choose another app if platform flexibility or a more restrained tracking experience matters more.
